It is sordid tale of a woman’s quest for answers and redemption, leaving her daughter, Siobhan, to carry on after her demise. Siobhan finds her Mother’s “Confession” in an unexpected place, and reading it learns things she never dreamed, all the while extremist monks chase her to retrieve what her Mother had stolen. Each entry in the Confession shows her the history of her own life as well as pieces she never expected. The Devil’s Prayer is filled with excitement, terror, and bloodshed, both historically and fictionally, and I recommend everyone grab a copy.

Fast paced book that draws the reader in. The interplay between present, recent past and history is well done and the historical research is exceptional.
With a unique twist on the Faustian tale of dealing with the Devil, "The Devil's Prayer" had me hooked within the first couple of pages all the way to the ending's shattering revelation.

A mix between The Omen and The Da Vinci Code, I highly recommend this book!
I am so ready for the sequel. Left us hanging. If you love revenge, the devil, crazy chases and some Indiana Jones action, this is the book for you.
The devil’s prayer is an engrossing fiction about the life of a nun, Denise Russo, and her deal with the devil for executing the people who had betrayed, tortured and nearly killed her. After taking the revenge, she finds it difficult to lead normal life when she comes to know about the presence of the child of devil in her own house, and then she starts on a journey to find the truth about the devil’s prayer. With the help of Father Jakub who is also pursuing the devil, she learns about the secret of devil’s prayer. To destroy the devil’s prayer, she has to visit various monasteries, learn language of the ancient books and then reproduce them. The book is amazing in the respect of the description of various monasteries, their architecture and history of the Europe of thirteenth century. After reading this book, I can say that this is a well-researched and well written book that will keep you guessing till the last page.
This books is poorly written. One of those you read and halfway you think, when does this torment end! I literally skimmed through the last third as I couldn’t take it anymore. The book “tries too hard”. The effort is almost palpable! I wouldn’t recommend it.
Okay read, however nothing to waste money on buying
The story starts with a bang, leaving the reader very curious as to why a nun acted the way she did. The story moves on to give a brilliant narration of events that explain her actions. At each point I was eager to find out what happens next. Reading late into the night, it was a struggle getting to office the next day. Really enjoyed the riveting thriller with the background history so well entwined that it's impossible to tell fiction from fact! Looking forward to the sequel or movie with this story.
