I had seen a review which favorably compared series lead Emerson Ward to Floridian legend Travis McGee. The comparison is laughable -- Ward is no T. McGee. Lackluster character development, unrealistic dialogue, stultifying plot. Very much a dissapointment. I wish someone would write a great series centered in Chicago -- alas, this is not it.Product details

Pacing of the book is languid, the characters lifeless, puzzle predictable. One and a half star.
Another good one. I look forward to these series of books.
