Who is the handsome cowboy who comes into small town Marietta’s chocolate shop every week to buy a box of chocolates? More importantly…who is he buying the chocolates for? These are the questions sales clerk Rosie Linn asks herself as she waits for her sadly neglected childhood home to sell so she can pursue an exciting new career in L.A.
Rosie finds out the answers the day rugged ranch hand Brant Willingham introduces himself and asks for her help in managing the care of his younger sister. Brant’s mother has recently died, leaving him the sole guardian of eighteen-year-old Sara Maria–who has been a puzzle to Brant ever since she began exhibiting signs of autism at age two.
Rosie and Brant come up with a plan. She’ll help with his sister if he handles repairs and a new paint job for her old house. It seems the perfect solution, but a new dilemma is created when the couple start spending time together. Brant discovers he doesn’t want Rosie to sell and leave, and Rosie fears she will have to choose between love and her dreams.

What a lovely story of love. Family, sibling and romantic relationships are at the heart of this journey. Brant Wilmington feels responsible for his 18 year old Autistic sister. Their. mother has died and his father is hands off. I was impressed Brant has taken on the responsibility of his sister's world. Granted he doesn't do it perfectly, perhaps he's stuck in their childhood roles, but he's trying. In fact he reaches out to Rosie Linn for his sister to have more companionship. But are his real reasons truly altruistic? Rosie is a local girl, spending her recent years caring for her ill parents. She's generally a sweet girl and chocolate shop clerk, who helps everyone else before herself. But now with her parents gone, she plans to move to LA where her older brother lives. But she still agrees to be Sara Maria's friend when Brant asks her to help. But things don't go smoothly and Rosie is not shy when it comes to honesty with Brant about his sister. Ups and downs, trials and tribulations occur, while two people, pretty much alone in the world, ultimately realize what it will take to bring their world's together. Simply delectable tale of finding love.Product details

Melt My Heart Cowboy Love at the Chocolate Shop Book 1 edition by CJ Carmichael Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
CJ's characters always have such depth. It is easy to get lost in her stories. Who wouldn't want to live in a town like Marietta? And a chocolate shop to boot!
Great romance quick read. Excellent to have for a summer read. You will want to read the entire set. Relax.
Good read!
This book grabbed my attention from the very beginning. It gives a great perspective of being disabled and working with a disabled person. I highly recommend this book.
I really liked this story. Although all the talk of chocolates really made me hungry. Rosie and Brant were great characters and I loved how they worked together. She had a crush on Brant before she even knew his name, as he was a regular customer at the chocolate shop where she worked. Brant's sister, his concern for his sister at least, finally brought them together outside of the chocolate shop. They were both at turning points in their lives with big decisions to make. I liked how things played out for all of them.
I really wish Sage's chocolate shop was a real place, I would definitely be a regular customer.
I’m always eager to read one of C. J.’s books. I like her writing and the characters she creates. I LOVE her series The Carrigan’s of the Circle C. One of the characters from that series is Sage Carrigan who owns the Cooper Mountain Chocolate Shop in Marietta. Love at the Chocolate Shop series is based around Sage’s chocolate shop. One of Sage’s employees is featured in Melt My Heart, Cowboy. As the story played out, I was not a fan of the lead male character, Brant, but he did grow on me and I was glad to see his character grow and mature. I really liked the friendship that the lead female, Rosie, had with Brant’s sister, Sara Maria, who is autistic. I enjoyed the story, the plot, and catching up with some of the characters from the small town. I’m looking forward to more sweet stories coming from the Love at the Chocolate Shop series.
My Rating 3.5 Stars!!!
I can't say enough how excited I get when Tule Publishing releases a novel in their Montana Born Series, set in the picturesque town of Marietta. And there are so many! Some of my favorite authors write for this series and C.J. Carmichael is one of them.
Montana Born now introduces us to a new series;Love at the Chocolate Shop, featuring different authors. There are four books in the series as of now. I'm not sure if there will be more than the four.
So if you've read about the Carrigans of the Circle C, then you know Sage's talent for making the most delicious chocolates at her shop on Main Street. This first novel features one of her employees, Rosie Linn and her journey to love. Rosie is leaving Marietta soon and she can't wait. Unfortunately she has to sell her family home first. She is planning to move to California to live with her brother and follow her dreams of being a screen writer. Something she is talented at. The only thing stopping her from jumping on a plane is getting a buyer for the house.
Well...the house used to be her hesitation for leaving...
Brant Willingham, a rugged, good-looking cowboy works on a ranch out of town. Brant loves his job on the ranch even if he doesn't own it. Recently, on Fridays, Brant drives to Marietta and his first stop is the chocolate shop where he buys chocolates from the pretty Rosie. He wishes he could ask her out but there is too much going on in his life right now. Brant's sister is autistic and is currently living in a care facility. Brant spends his Friday evenings with Sara Maria. Brant feels guilty about keeping her in a facility but since their mother died recently, he doesn't know how to fit her in his life and keep his current job. Brant does love his sister, he just doesn't know how to take care of her.
Rosie and Brant come up with an arrangement that will benefit all of them. Brant will work on fixing up Rosie's house and making it more alluring to potential buyers. He will do this in the evenings and weekends. In exchange, Rosie will agree to spend time with Sara Maria, being a friend and companion. I liked Sara Maria a lot. And so did Rosie. So this all sounds like a great plan. Easy, right? The only problem is Rosie and Brant are trying to remain friends despite that they are attracted to each other. They shouldn't be anything more when Rosie is leaving Marietta for good.
I enjoyed watching these two give into their attraction. They knew they shouldn't but did anyway. Of course their growing feelings for each other complicate things. There are several obstacles that they had to overcome before they could have their HEA. The very end was a little rushed for me. I would have liked a bit more. That said, I'm sure we'll get a peek of what they're up to in the following novels of the series.
